Moscow Landmarks Under Smog
Terrible smog from fires in Region covered whole Moscow city again and again. From the end of June, 2010, the heat in Moscow beats all records for the last 130 years and most of people weren’t prepared to such extraordinary climate conditions.
From many pictures that I took on the Red Square at early morning on August 8th, 2010, when whole Moscow city was covered by toxic smog from fires in region, I like this one where a family walking on the Red Square with shrouded by smog on the background famous buildings. From the right on this picture you can see Kazan Cathedral (or church of icon of Our Lady of Kazan) and from the left is Resurrection Gates, that was part of fortifications surrounding the area of the Red Square in 16-17th centuries.
