Moscow Landmarks Under Smog
Terrible smog from fires in Region covered whole Moscow city again and again. From the end of June, 2010, the heat in Moscow beats all records for the last 130 years and most of people weren’t prepared to such extraordinary climate conditions.
On the foreground of this picture a man walking on the Red Sqaure towards to Lenin's Tomb (Mausoleum). On the background is one of famous towers of Moscow Kremlin located at the Red Square - St. Nicholas (Nikolskaya) Tower with a huge "Ruby" star installed on it's spire by order of Stalin in 1937. Up to 1935, the Nikolskaya Tower was crowned by the double-headed eagle.
