On my last trip I contacted Arthur to arrange a visit to the battlefield of Borodino (125 km. west of Moscow). Fought in September 1812, it was the beginning of the end for Napoleon´s Grand Armée and its invasion of Russia. Until the Battle of the Somme in 1916 Borodino was the battle with the most casualties in history. Arthur was punctual, professional and very friendly. At all times he made sure my wife and I were enjoying our visit. Did we like? Were we cold? Were we hungry? He suggested a visit to Zvenigorod monastery on the way back. It was beautiful. During our long drive I enjoyed talking to Arthur about many subjects relating to Russia and its history. Although it was getting late and starting to snow Arthur complied with my last request and took us to see the Naryshkin baroque church of the Intercession at Fili. In spite of this last detour he got us to the hotel right on time to meet our friends. Molodets!!! We will certainly count on Arthur for our next visit to Moscow.

Having Arthur with us allowed me to forget about all the hard parts of travel (maps, money, language, logistics etc.) and allowed me to just enjoy the sights of Moscow. For those uncertain about a Moscow trip I recommend the people as genuine and courteous. The food was more natural than ours. Less sugar, less fat, less processing. Quite a treat really. Arthur himself was an excellent guide. I have no difficulty in agreeing with the many nice compliments on his website. I am confident that you will also find Arthur reliable and trustworthy.

Despite the freezing temperature outside, Arthur took me to an amazing 2.5 hours tour, trying to take me to the "must seen" place in the heart of Moscow. Arthur is very knowledgeable, service oriented, pleasent and knew to concentrate huge Moscow into 2.5 amazing hours!. Nest time in Moscow, i'll try to have much more with Arthur and explore the city in much more time.
